When did you start working with Facebook and FbStart?
SoloLearn began working with Facebook during the app's initial build. After its 2014 launch, SoloLearn applied to FbStart to receive a roadmap and product feedback. Once accepted, FbStart provided access to Facebook teams along with tools and services from Facebook and FbStart's benefit partners, which helped them to limit costs and continue developing their product.
“FbStart is a great program for growth stage startups. We received invaluable resources and support including feedback that was instrumental in helping us produce a more useful and global product.” — Davit Kocharyan, CTO and Co-founder, SoloLearn
Quote from FbStart Apps of the year judges
“SoloLearn has done a beautiful job creating a mobile learning experience that combines personal accomplishment with a community engagement. It took me less than a minute to get started learning Ruby, and once I got going, I didn't want to quit.” - Drew Bernard, CEO of ActionSprout
Facebook Products Used
SoloLearn relies on Facebook Analytics to measure retention and understand their audience. For example, with Facebook Analytics, SoloLearn learned that their most active customers are 18-24 year old professionals learning to code. Understanding the demographics of their audience enabled Davit and his team to better position their product, develop their brand, and plan future acquisition strategies.
“With Facebook Analytics, we get insight into our users and, importantly, which features and sections of our app provide better user retention. We can then invest further in those features.” — Davit Kocharyan, CTO and Co-founder, SoloLearn
