Authentication

Learn more about the options you can enable for authentication on Workplace.

Overview

Workplace supports two methods for authentication. If your company uses an identity provider for other services, it's likely that you can use that for Single Sign On (SSO) in Workplace. If not, Workplace supports username and password authentication.

Regardless of the authentication method, accounts should be provisioned before a user uses their account for the first time. Read more about this important step in the Account Management guide.

Authentication settings apply to every member of your instance. Enabling SSO for a subset of users is not supported in Workplace.
