Making your game lightweight

Many people who play Instant Games are using devices with limited rendering capabilities and some are also located in areas with low internet connectivity. This means that optimizing your game for small network footprint and light rendering can enable your game to be served to a larger audience.

Make sure to read the check list below before you submit your game for lightweight audience consideration.

Lightweight audience checklist

Make sure the initial download size is smaller than 1MB

Make sure your game runs at a decent framerate in devices with Webview v30 on Android 4.4.2

Game should not use particles on any features that require hardware acceleration

Game should not require WebGL

Submitting for Review

If your game meets all criteria above, you can submit for Instant Games Lite on the Instant Games Review tab, as shown below:

To submit, you must upload a screencast of your game running on one of the reference devices:
