Enforcement FAQs

Please navigate to the appeals page to see what policies your app violated. You must comply with all of our terms and policies to remain active on our platform., including our Platform Policy:

https://developers.facebook.com/policy/

We have a team of policy specialists who may be able to help you with your app's situation. To reach a specialist, use the appeals page or respond to the enforcement email we sent you. Enforcement emails are sent to the email address listed in the app's Contact Email field in the App Dashboard > Settings > Basic tab.

Depending on the violation, before you appeal, you may need to debug your app, update the Facebook integration, cease behavior that is not compliant, or take other remediating action. In some cases, you cannot appeal due to the nature of the non-compliance.

Enforcement emails are sent to the email address listed in each app’s Contact Email field in the App Dashboard > Settings > Basic tab (screenshot below). If you did not receive an email, confirm which email you have designated as the contact email for your app and make sure that it is active, can receive new email, and did not flag the email as SPAM. If you manage multiple apps, make sure that each one has a valid contact email address.

We may also display an alert in the Developer Notifications interface on developers.facebook.com (the bell icon) when your app has been enforced on. If you did not receive an alert, you may want to verify that your app has enabled app notifications in your developer account’s notification settings.
