Implementing Facebook Analytics

This section shows you how to implement the Facebook Analytics in your mobile app or website, and to test that implementation.

Android Mobile App

To implement Facebook Analytics on Android, integrate the Facebook SDK for Android into your app by following the instructions in Getting Started Android SDK. Once complete, you can test your implementation.

iOS Mobile App

To implement Facebook Analytics on iOS, integrate the Facebook SDK for iOS into your app by following the instructions in Getting Started with the Facebook SDK for iOS. Once complete, you can test your implementation.

Unity App

To implement Facebook Analytics with Unity SDK, integrate the Facebook SDK for Unity into your app by following the instructions in Getting Started Facebook for Unity. Once complete, you can test your implementation.

Website

To implement Facebook Analytics in your website, add JavaScript code to implement Facebook Pixel. Facebook Pixel allows you to track visitor activity on your website.

If you have implemented the Facebook SDK for JavaScript to use features such as Facebook Login, the Like Button, and Social Plugins, then you are already using Facebook Analytics.

After implementing Facebook Pixels or the Facebook SDK for JavaScript, you can test your implementation.

Testing Your Implementation

After you implement the SDK or use Facebook Pixels, you can test your implementation by opening the Facebook Analytics dashboard and looking for an event in Event Debugging.

Test your implementation

  1. Open Facebook Analytics.
  2. Choose your app and navigate to Activity > Event Debugging.

Events may take up to 20 minutes to appear in the dashboard.
