Hi there,
I'm trying to get my Facebook app started but when I enter my Privacy Policy and Terms of Service URLs, Facebook gives me the following error:
"the url has been identified as malicious and/or abusive"
I know this is a mistake because we are not engaged in malicious or abusive practices. I still get the message even though I have:
a) redesigned the entire web site from scratch (3 year project) b) changed web hosting companies c) signed-up for Cloudflare for added security d) asked my web host to run virus/malware checks e) checked to ensure I have a valid SSL certificate g) used 3rd party trust sites to verify good reputation h) confirmed my ip wasn't blacklisted due to someone else on the server
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have the same problem. I've been working on this for almost a year, I've tried various verifications, sent requests to FB admins, filled out forms, tried to hire a specialist (he didn't know what to do with it). FB does not respond to any messages. It's absolutely desperate, it's ruining our business. Did no one really solve it?
Like Jason, I just bought the domain, so definitely nothing malicious. How can we appeal this? I would hope FB would document the domain ownership (whois) info. Then can verify it's now something completely different. Who knew buying a domain might have such consequences. :-\

Same problem here...

Same problem for me too :(

Does anyone know what to do when this happens? I can't debug the site because it's been identified as malicious. Like others who posted above, this is a brand new business site that isn't doing anything shady.

No idea. In the end I ended up contacting a guy in Nigeria who I found on the internet somewhere and his team fixed it in less than 24 hours for me for 25 bucks via PayPal. I still have no clue how they fix it but it worked.

@Laurens do you still have contact info from the person who helped you?
I also comes into these issue and these following step solved it:
Go to facebook.com . Try to share the url. You will get a dialog saying the url is bad and in the button there will be a link if you don't agree and you want to report it. please elaborate your site and ask facebook to re-reviewing your website.
hope it helps.

I tried it several times (about 6 times). Never any response and change.

Mara, i had one idea that aparently worked, I put in my domain the pattern country.mydomain.com mine was japan.matsutoya.com
Did this ever get resolved? I'm running into the same issue and cannot find a solution

Same problem here

I'm getting the same error. Just bought the domain and setup wordpress. It's a movie database but not doing anything illegal. I see you've been waiting 7 days for a response. Let's hope it doesn't take much longer.

Bump. Is anyone from Facebook reading these message boards??
I'm getting close to giving up on Facebook all together. It seems that nobody cares.
