Will the new Creator Accounts that Instagram is trialling continue to have access to the API the same as business accounts do?

Business Discovery — The Business Discovery API can now be used to get data about other Instagram Creator accounts.
Any new/update on this? Is there a timeline for when this will be available?

Instagram Creator Accounts — The API now supports Instagram Creator Accounts, with two exceptions. (1) The Content Publishing API cannot be used by Instagram Creators, and (2) the Business Discovery API can be used by Creators but can only target Businesses.

We're seeing many examples of users who were business account, suddenly having Business Discovery API calls fail - the reason for these appearing to be that they have automatically been switched to an Instagram Creator profile. This is likely to prove a big problem for our app and many others who have built against the Instagram Graph API.
Can Facebook/Instagram provide some clarity here as to when Creator accounts will work via the API?
