API access deactivated due to enforcement. Restore Access - BLACKHOLE
2

We recently got a notification about our API access being restricted due to our Privacy policy not being accessible. So we updated the privacy policy and saved the latest one using the basic settings page. Now there is no way to restore API access or initiate a process to restore it, nobody from the support team has an answer to this.

I have admin access to the app, I have tried using this in incognito to refresh any cached information but no luck.

Anybody faced this issue before?

Do you see anything when you go to Developer Appeals: https://developers.facebook.com/appeal/? If not, you could try filing a bug report to https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/

Managed to fix the problem, even though it was a easy fix, it was very difficult to find out. Basically anywhere on Facebook developer console where we are required to mention any links or URLs to our app, website or policies etc. make sure you run the links through the https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and check the response code that this returns. In my case the link to the privacy policy for my app which was hosted on AWS S3 was returning 404 because of a CDN issue, once that was fixed the link was accepted by Facebook and I was able to use the "Resolve now" button that appears on the dashboard page as a red banner - which also is only visible to the admins.

Cheers!
