F8 2019 Agenda and International Meetups Now Live

April 9, 2019

F8, Facebook's annual developer conference, is fast approaching. We're excited to gather our global developer community in San Jose, CA, on April 30 - May 01, 2019, for a conversation about technology and human connection.

Our agenda is now live on F8.com, and we'll continue to add sessions leading up to the event. Here are a few highlights:

  • Keynotes: Hear from Mark and other Facebook leaders about the latest technology from our family of apps and the future we're building together.
  • Building for the Modern Web with React, GraphQL and Relay: Open source projects like React, GraphQL and Relay are powering more and more Facebook services. In this session, we'll discuss how we use the latest features of these technologies, like React Suspense, to help deliver a high quality, modern web experience at Facebook.
  • Powered by PyTorch: Businesses are using PyTorch, an open source machine learning framework, to seamlessly build, train, and deploy AI models in production across their products and services. Hear how industry leaders leverage PyTorch to help power everything from ubiquitous productivity software used across the world to enabling advances in medicine for fighting cancer.
  • Spark AR Outlook: Inspiring Creation & Exploration: Join us for a sweeping look at Spark AR Studio, ranging from powerful new creation features and capabilities, to improved controls for managing and distributing AR experiences across Facebook’s family of apps. In this session, we will also discuss how the Spark AR platform is quickly evolving and opening up exciting new uses cases for businesses and consumers.
  • Spotlight on Stories: Creative Considerations for Effective Stories Ads: Stories has become a popular way to share, and its unique environment presents an opportunity to reinvent the way you deliver your brand's message. Dive deeper into key creative considerations of the ad format, like interactivity, and the role they play in driving towards your business goals.

Can't make it in person? You can experience F8 without being in San Jose, California:

  • Join an F8 Meetup: This year, Developer Circles and TechHubs will be hosting International Viewing Parties around the globe, bringing local developers together to watch the keynote, exchange ideas, and build connections. Find a Meetup in your area.
  • Experience F8 Online or in VR: Sign up to stream the keynotes live and enjoy recorded sessions online. And, for the first time at F8, you can tune in live and feel front row by joining the keynotes with your Oculus headset. Learn more.
