Starting January 15, 2016, as part of our continued efforts to make our systems more secure, we'll require a secure https callback endpoint in order to modify subscriptions for existing and new Real Time Updates, which are now called Webhooks. If you need to make modifications using non-secure HTTP Webhooks call-back endpoints, you must do so before this date. In addition, we strongly advise that you switch all callback endpoints to HTTPS soon, as we plan to announce a requirement for HTTPS on all Webhooks endpoints at F8 in April 2016. For more information on how to update your callback endpoints, please refer to the developer documentation.
We've also launched a new dashboard user interface that lists all your apps' subscriptions to Webhooks as a new tab in our App Dashboard. You can access all of the Webhooks API functionality through this dashboard, so you can create a new subscription, modify existing subscriptions, or enumerate fields to hook events to.
Including Webhooks in the App Dashboard makes managing subscriptions easier, as well as helps with the migration to secure HTTPS call-back endpoints. Give it a try today on your App Dashboard.
