Embedded Posts Now Available to Everyone

August 21, 2013ByDave Capra

We introduced Embedded Posts in July to make it easy for publishers to add any public post from Facebook to their blog or web site. Today, we're excited to make Embedded Posts available to everyone. We've also added several enhancements based on feedback from our launch partners.

In-line video playback

Videos in Embedded Posts can now play directly on your web site. Here's an example:

Directly access the embed code from an embedded post

We've added the ability for you to embed posts directly from a 3rd party web site. Simply click the drop down next to the "Like Page" or "Follow" button to access the embed code.

Improved mobile experience

On mobile, we've reduced the width of Embedded Posts to fit better with smaller screens and added larger Like, Comment, and Share buttons to make them easier to tap on.

If you are a publisher, you can join our Facebook News, Media & Publishing group to give us feedback on Embedded Posts and get the latest product updates. We've also released a new version of the Facebook plugin for WordPress that supports Embedded Posts. Finally, you can visit our Embedded Posts documentation to learn more.
