Marketing API 2.10

July 18, 2017

We're releasing Marketing API version 2.10 at July 18, 2017, 10:00 am PT. This new release provides developers greater control over reach and frequency predictions and updates several outdated endpoints and fields. We will deprecate version 2.8 at 25 July, 2017, 10:00 am PT.

Feature Highlights

We are providing target_spec as a JSON object for Reach and Frequency predictions, so you no longer need to parse the response into JSON.

Breaking Changes

We deprecated the following fields and parameters:**

  • Holdout fields: holdout_start, holdout_end, holdout_hash, show_start, show_end, no_show_offset, no_show_percentage from POST AD_ACCOUNT_ID/ads and GET AD_ID
  • follow_redirect on `POST /AD_ACCOUNT_ID/adcreatives.
  • creative_rotation_parameter and creative_rotation type from GET ADSET_ID and POST AD_ACCOUNT_ID/adsets.
  • RTB endpoints and fields - GET /RTB_PARTNER_ID and GET /RTB_PARTNER_ID/stats endpoints, rtb_flag field from POST /ADSET_ID and POST /ADGROUP_ID.
  • Insights API website_clicks, app_store_clicks, and deeplink_clicks. We deprecated app_store_clicks, deeplink_clicks, and website_clicks. These are replaced by click_to_app_store, click_to_app_deeplink, and click_to_website that you can access via the action_link_click_destination breakdown.

Upgrading to Marketing APIs v2.10

We'd like to remind the developer community that v2.8 of the Marketing API will be deprecated at July 25, 10:00 am PT. All apps need to be on at least v2.9. To see changes in v2.10, see the Graph API v2.10 Changelog. SDK developers should view our latest Java SDK, PHP SDK, Python SDK, or Ruby SDK for Marketing API. Developers should specify /v2.10/ in your URLs when you call the API.
