New Reference App and Facebook Marketing Developers Website

Today we're excited to announce the launch of our very first reference app for the Marketing API, available for download from the new Facebook Marketing Developers site. We've heard from the developer community over the years about the challenges getting started with our Marketing API: it can be difficult to envision a final product when only looking at reference docs, authentication can be confusing, and too much time and energy is spent on building foundational technology rather than product innovation.

To help address those challenges, we built the reference app so developers can quickly and efficiently get their products built and shipped. We're providing sample interfaces and code for common elements such as ads creation, ads management, and ads insights. By using the reference app, developers can skip the often expensive and labor-intensive process of building the underlying code for their product, and instead get started quickly by building on and modifying our supplied examples.

The reference app is built in JavaScript on a Node.js SDK, and working knowledge of Node.js and React is recommended. The latest version of the reference app can be downloaded from our new Facebook Marketing Developers site, where developers can always find updates to the reference application, sample code, and other information. This website is a supplement to the existing Marketing API documentation.
