Games Distribution

Tap into Facebook's powerful tools to drive installs and bring back formerly engaged players through channels like News Feed, Timeline, and Notifications.

  2. Feed
  3. Notifications API
  4. Open Graph
  5. Game Groups

Requests

Requests and Invites are a major driver of growth and engagement for games. It's a powerful channel because players reach out directly to their friends to get them to participate. Players send Invites to friends to join them in a game, driving new installs. Players use requests to get their friends to complete actions in the game, like playing their turn, accepting gifts or helping one another and encouraging re-engagement.

Feed Dialog

A big part of being a gamer is sharing accomplishments with friends via the Feed Dialog on web or mobile. Feed stories bring players back to reengage with your game. iOS 6.0 users can also access the native Feed Dialog at any time to share accomplishments out to their News Feed.

Notifications API

Send custom messages from your app to your player base through the Notifications jewel. Tap into the Notifications API to increase engagement and reactivate players by messaging them about important events, invites from friends, or game actions. There are performance tools to ensure this high-quality channel remains beneficial to both developers and players.

Open Graph

When players share compelling game stories with Open Graph, it drives greater distribution, installs and engagement to your game. With Open Graph, your players can share and chronicle high scores, achievements, milestones, and custom actions on their own Timelines and News Feeds.

Game Groups

Groups are a natural fit for games, which already organize players into clans, alliances, teams and other groups for collaborating in game. Games can create and manage Facebook Groups for their players via the Graph API to help people connect and share their game experiences. People who interact more with other players will be more invested in the game, play longer and are more likely to pay.
