Get Installs on Desktop

Facebook’s ads are a great way to drive new users to your web app, website, or any other specific online destination.

App ads and domain ads appear on the right-hand-side of Facebook.com, and are specifically used to drive people to your app or your domain.

App AdDomain Ad

We recently announced Facebook Sponsored Results, a standard onsite ad that appears in desktop search results. Having a prominent position in our search results is a great way to drive traffic to your desktop app.

Sponsored results lets you:

  • Get more people to see your message, with placement in one of the most used features on Facebook
  • Target your ad to show in search results alongside related apps, Pages and people with subscribed turned on
  • Direct people to the right destination, such as Facebook App Center, a canvas app, or a tab on a Page

How to create an ad

Select the right ads tool:

Leverage our simple flows to easily get started right away. Use the Ads Create Flow to launch running App and Domain ads, and use the App Dashboard to launch sponsored Results. For more horsepower and greater ad functionality, use Power Editor to run all of your Facebook campaigns. You can also work with one of our Preferred Marketing Developers who can help manage and optimize your Facebook campaigns, especially if you do not have in-house resources to build and manage your ad campaigns.

Follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Select the website, Page, or App you want to promote
  2. Select what you would like to do (i.e acquire new users) and the ad type (i.e. standard ads or sponsored results)
  3. Choose your Audience
  4. Determine your pricing and scheduling
  5. Monitor your insights through the App Dashboard and the ads manager
